Masseria Gianecchia di Pepe
Gianecchia di Pepe is an ancient Masseria of 700 located between the towns of Ostuni and Cisternino Fasano, about six kms from the sea.
Nestled in a grove of olive trees, in an area rich in history and archaeological finds, the farm is composed of a main house and smaller and modest dwellings where the families of peasants lived.
There are stables, courtyards and a perfectly preserved centenarian old mill with wooden presses and millstones. An old barn, carefully restored, is now used as a place of entertainment.
In the large square in front of the house, next to a lush pine grove, stands a small church near 2 ancient trulli; there is also an old wood stove fully functional.
